Mr. Karthikeyan Narayanan, originally from Karainagar, Jaffna, and formerly residing in Colombo and Canada, is fondly remembered on his 3rd year remembrance.
Even after three years,
your voice still echoes
inside my heart, Dad.
They say time changes everything,
but your absence
hurts anew
every single day.
On this path without your guidance,
I have learned to walk,
yet I still search
for the peace
of leaning on your shoulder.
A house without you
is no longer a home,
and your photograph alone
looks at me and says,
“I am still here.”
On this third year of remembrance,
with tears in my eyes,
I bow at your feet and say, Dad,
the love you gave
and the lessons you taught
will live with me
as long as I live.
